If you have landed here, it means you appreciate ordinary things explored in extraordinary ways.
If you like to slow down and notice the spaces in between, you are in the right place.
The art on this site represents a career in three acts, with the third act just beginning...
ACT 1
Act one of my painting career was an obsessive time exploring the ordinary and everyday suburban landscape. The work was minimal, abstracted and a little heavy in approach and attitude.
Suburbs #1 (Oil) | Mall #22 (Watercolor & Gouache) | Divine Parking #23 (Acrylic)
ACT 2
Act two somewhat began in 2010 when I became a full-time parent and caregiver. Where once life fit around my art, now my art had to fit around my life. Limitations demanded I reconfigure what was possible as an artist. Work that had once been done quickly and quietly in the background now became the foreground.
Fluff #1 (Acrylic) | NES (Acrylic) | The Back Woods (Watercolor)
ACT 3
Act 3 is just beginning. I am rekindling old ideas with new techniques and beliefs. The work has a more colorful and playful approach that feels lighter. They are made with a brighter and more curious look at the world.
Suburban Dreams (Acrylic) | House on the Edge of Forever (Acrylic) | Perfect Parking (Acrylic)
