If you have landed here, it means you appreciate ordinary things explored in extraordinary ways.

If you like to slow down and notice the spaces in between and what they could mean, you are in the right place.

The art you will see on this site represents a career in three acts, with the third act just beginning...

ACT 1

Act one of my painting career was an obsessive exploration of the ordinary and everyday suburban landscape. The work was minimal, abstracted and a little heavy in approach and attitude.

    Suburbs #1 (Oil) | Mall #22 (Watercolor & Gouache) | Divine Parking #23 (Acrylic)

ACT 2

Act two began in 2010 when I became a full-time parent and caregiver. I had to reconfigure what was possible as an artist and I made art that could be done simpler and quicker. I was still fascinated with the ordinary and everyday but made with a different approach than before.

Fluff #1 (Acrylic) | NES (Acrylic) | The Back Woods (Watercolor)

ACT 3

Act 3 is just beginning. I am rekindling old ideas with new techniques and a more colorful and playful approach that feels lighter and with a different and more curious look at the world.

Suburban Dreams (Acrylic) | House on the Edge of Forever (Acrylic) | Perfect Parking (Acrylic)
